Total Care To Prevent Alzheimer’s

Friday, September 25th, 2009

It was the strangest thing.  I met a 60 year old a while ago who looked like she was about 40, because she had spent a lot of time and money really taking care of her skin, and it was great.  But in all her skincare, she had actually only used the external creams and so on when food and diet is a big part of actually keeping not only your skin young, but your mind and body young.  If you do not have the right diet, you cannot hope to really sustain youth in general.  This being said, her joints had degraded in that short amount of time, and she had actually developed Alzheimer’s.  Now joint problems could hit at any age, and the best way is to ensure you have more water in your system and take joint supplements preferably with chondroitin and glucosamine.  But like joint problems, there is actually no cure for Alzheimer’s disease.  It helps to certainly eat more fruits and vegetables.  But there are other measures that most wouldn’t think of such as taking mind benefitting supplements such as DMAE for example or for that matter gingko biloba.  So when taking care or your skin, also remember to take care of the rest of your body.

Smoking Affects Whole Body Wrinkles

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

There are wrinkles in some ways expected to hit the face.  Granted, the whole body gets wrinkled after a while.  But the major area that we concentrate on is always the face.  This being said, smoking is obviously known to lead to greater wrinkles, because quite frankly, it constricts the blood vessels, there’s the mouth motions that go with it, and all in all, it’s not really a good thing.  This being said, when it narrows the blood vessels, just because it’s closer to the face does not mean that it is only causing wrinkles on the face.  For one thing, it’s also rather close to the hands for obvious reasons.  But this being said, it also damages the collagen and elastin, and a study as of 2007 showed that it increased wrinkles on the inner arms, as well as other parts, even spreading down to the legs.  So smoking ultimately restricts blood vessels everywhere and that’s part of why it puts you at higher risk for certain heart problems and otherwise.  It’s definitely not just the face.  That being said, it is second only to sun exposure in terms of the damage it causes and the prevalence in general.

Using Matrixyl

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Matrixyl is actually one of my favorite peptides out there.  Matrixyl has been used for ages, and it is the definition of a good peptide, producing more collagen and elastin stores within the skin, which effectively rebuilds them and also makes the skin softer, smoother, wrinkle free in general with a reduction in stretch marks and otherwise as well.  This being said, it is also known by the name of palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, and it is in the form of matrixyl 3000 as well, which is said to be more powerful than the original Matrixyl.  It basically is produced by Sederma & Proctor & Gamble, and it has been proven to significantly increase the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin to effectively rebuild it.  It has basically been proven to provide better results than retinol without the side effects.  Now keep in mind, Matrixyl can work on its own.   But it’s best application is actually in complimenting and improving the possible results of every other peptide or other wrinkle fighting ingredient in the book.  It is extremely powerful, and that application is not to be ignored in the least.  It is definitely a multi use peptide, and I wouldn’t use a formula without it.

Natural Wrinkle Treatments

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

There are natural ways to treat your wrinkles.  They don’t require using various things such as complicated wrinkle creams, going in for chemical peels, and otherwise.  This being said, this is more of a thing where you prevent your wrinkles, it does not mean that you can get rid of wrinkles that are already there.  A bit thing is to actually sleep on your back.  Sleeping on your side or face produces temporary wrinkles, and over time those temporary wrinkles start to stay in general terms.  Second, stop using straws, only drink strait from the cup.  The muscle contractions associated with drinking from a straw produce wrinkles around the mouth.  Third, stop stressing.  Stressing often creates more wrinkles and more signs of aging in general.  And finally, control your weight.  If you suddenly gain weight it will create stretch marks.  If you suddenly lose weight, often the skin sags and otherwise causing greater issues and problems.  And finally drink water to keep your body and your skin generally hydrated.  This will all help you to naturally keep your skin younger, smoother, and wrinkle free for a longer period of time, and you don’t have to really spend more money to achieve these things.

Lavender Oil

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Lavender oil is a big treatment in skincare in general as well as the prevention of wrinkles.  They claim that when combined with other essential oils such as tea tree oil, clary sage, geranium, and nutmeg among others, you can fight the occurrence of wrinkles, acne, and various other issues, even dried out or sun damaged skin depending on which combination you happen to use.  This being said, it has a great aroma, which automatically makes it popular, and it’s one of the best known in just about any applicable area.  It has what’s called 40% linalyl acetate and 30% linalool.  It basically has been used to reduce scarring, stretch marks, and prevent wrinkles, because it is known to regenerate skin cells.  The most successful way to use lavender that I’ve found is to put it in a bath, just a little bit, and it works brilliantly to improve and brighten your skin.  Basically speaking, lavender is a powerful antibacterial and antioxidant to kill off germs and free radicals at the same time, and it can even open the airways to prevent asthma attacks.  It is a powerful antimicrobial and works against fungi as well, and it has been used to treat chapped lips, sunburns, scars, cold sores, sunburns, and open wounds as well as dandruff and rashes.  So as you can see, lavender is a big choice in general terms.

Lunchtime Micodermabrasion

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

They are now saying that you can actually get microdermabrasion on your lunch break.  It’s kinda like lunchtime lipo I guess.  Basically speaking, microdermabrasion is supposed to get rid of layers of built up dead skin cells and otherwise, and realistically speaking, it has been used to get rid of scars, wrinkles, give the skin a glow, get rid of acne, and it has multiple other purposes in general terms.  They say it can be quick, convenient, etc.  Essentially speaking, they give you a local anesthetic, and then they get to work with these little metal brushes.  They exfoliate, and going on the same concept some have actually used small electric toothbrushes to get a smaller effect of course.  But all in all, when you get microdermabrasion, the results are immediately noticeable.  Granted, you should really be careful.  It can be quite damaging to the skin, especially before those layers happen to grow back, hopefully healthier than they were before, and your skin can of course be especially sensitive to the sun causing you to hopefully wear more sunscreen and really be careful that your sunscreen doesn’t have any damaging or drying agents such as alcohol for example.  This will help to protect your skin instead of hurting it more, and all in all, you could ideally do it over lunch.

Artecoll

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Artecoll is a new treatment for wrinkles that has mostly been used in Europe previous to this.  It is basically made up of PMMA microspheres, and they say it fills your dips with collagen at a better rate without actually causing the fast breakdown that is often associated with many collagen injections and other injections in general.  The microspheres are basically 32-40 microns in size, and they are completely round and smooth.  They use a 0.3% concentration of lidocaine hydrochloride, and it’s meant for long lasting augmentation of the skin and filling in of the wrinkles and connective tissue.  They claim to have only the highest standards for generalized production, and unless you are allergic to the animal form, it is relatively safe.  There has been some site injection pain and irritation as well as redness and some swelling reported.  But reports of side effects are low at this time.  However, it remains rather expensive for many, and still it breaks down over time, not really rebuilding the skin for more permanent results.  However, it is an improvement to some degree upon old injections and otherwise.  Of course, that’s not necessarily saying much.  But the market of course keeps progressing in science and new methods of action.

Drinking Your Way To Beautiful Skin

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

If you want to drink your way to healthier skin and a healthier body in general, keep in mind that red wine is not the way to go.  Actually speaking, reservatrol in that won’t even be able to soak into the body to give the effects anyway, and grapes are better.  That being said, you can instead try pomegranates.  They were thought by the Greeks to be the fruit or food of the underworld, and one myth described basically one being stuck in the underworld if they consumed those at any time.  However, others believed it could promote immortality, and considering the fact that it strengthens the skin’s sun resistance by 25%, it’s not a bad idea.  It has also been shown to reverse damage on the skin to some degree.  Likewise, green tea is among the most popular and well known antioxidants out there.  Obviously, you can quite easily drink some, and it has more antioxidants than other teas in general.  However, Rooibos tea has been known to have the highest concentrations of antioxidants in general.  So it’s something to consider if you are looking to drink your way to healthier and more beautiful skin in general.

Beauty Without Cruelty

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Now I saw eye cream reviews for a product line called Beauty Without Cruelty the other day. I have personally been a long time fan, not because I’ve been particularly appreciative of some powerful and amazing formula. In fact, in my younger days when I first saw it, I didn’t know anything about what to look for in eye creams in general. However, in finding out about eye creams and even delving into some of my own eye cream reviews, I have obviously learned more and come across more in general. I like Beauty Without Cruelty because of their philosophy. They were from the start introduced on the basis of providing you with beauty without actually using animal testing, animal bi-products, you get the basic really good idea. So I’m a big fan. But while I would definitely suggest checking out some of their smaller products, in terms of serious products like eye creams, wrinkle creams, etc, you really need to find something else. I mean they have great philosophies yes. But philosophies don’t make a good eye cream in general. And they don’t have the right ingredients that would actually be required to produce or supplement more collagen and elastin and rebuild the skin in general.

Colonetix Is My Choice

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

I have used a select few colon cleansers. But my favorite colon cleanser so far is called Colonetix. Colonetix is a pretty good colon cleanser that realistically helps you in various different ways, because it can help you to get rid of toxins, improve your body, supplement with vitamins and minerals, and various other things that you might not expect from a regular colon cleanser to say the least. I mean it has a number of patented ingredients. I see that in diet pills, but not in a colon cleanser. It’s just weird and something I would never actually expect. I mean a basic colon cleanser only needs certain ingredients. Yes the whole colon cleansing process does generally cause side effects. But you feel better after and your body is better after. It’s explained by the whole process of toxins leaving your body and not being too happy about it. But realistically speaking, Colonetix is a 2 step process that actually helps to eliminate those particular side effects, which is why I am more impressed with it generally speaking. I’m not a big fan of going overboard in your compliments. But Colonetix definitely deserves some real attention, and without question, it’s something I would buy again and use again. It works fast, and for maintenance or otherwise, it’s without question worth whatever.
